While she works to unlock the secrets of the keystone, a massacre is imminent in form of massive beasts rising from the scorched earth. As the fey-mage dispute persists, Sera tries to find a way to stop the beasts but her husband â€" Bastian, is under arrest for suspected treason and helping Sera escape with the artifact.
