When her beloved father dies, leaving her in debt, thirteen year old Anne's life quickly changes from one of privilege and luxury as an Earl's daughter to hardship she never dreamed possible. Thrown into debtor's prison and left with no hope of ever getting out, she grabs at the one dangerous chance which presents itself - indentured servitude.
