Marigold, the Lost Flower — Susan K. Hopkins

When Marigold is selected at the gardening center and put in the bed of a pick-up truck, the little flower is hopeful as she heads toward her first home. She will finally have a place to belong! But when a mishap causes her to fall off the truck, she becomes lost. Thankfully, a wise caterpillar offers his home as a place where Marigold can go and take root. As the caterpillar guides Marigold to her new home, the inexperienced flower becomes easily influenced by her surroundings. Marigold is quick to join a group of dancing wildflowers but soon realizes that wildflowers are known for their wild parties! In one adventure after the next, Marigold is tempted to go along with anyone and anything, no matter the cost. Will the wise caterpillar be able to guide his young friend to a better path?
