Ruth Deacon has always wanted to set up a wildlife sanctuary and rescue centre, and now her dream has finally come true. Her neighbours at the McMillan farm don't seem keen, though when she meets Tom McMillan, she thinks she might win them over. But someone is aiming to destroy the reputation of the centre. And the farm manager accuses her of dumping rubbish which has injured one of their calves. Ruth is sure that Tom will believe she has nothing to do with it.
