Description
The second novella in the Starlings of Starling Hall series, set in the English village of Barton Lacey. Breana has a vivid imagination and sometimes it gets her into trouble. Like playing hide and seek at the Norris's Spring ball, and being kissed (so she thinks) by that rascal Francis Norris. It was a very memorable kiss, but Breana soon discovers Francis is not the man she wants in her life. She'd much prefer his older brother, Theo.Theo has loved Breana for years but never had the courage to tell her so. Why would she want him, when he spends his time worrying about his family, who are drowning in debt and about to lose their home? Then, in the mistaken belief he is saving her from his brother, Theo insists Breana accompany him to London in his coach.
