Description
Sonsie Anderson's grandfather has died shortly before she comes to visit him at MacLean House. But she stays in Scotland, trying to forget the handsome young California actor who broke her heart. And she almost succeeds as charismatic Kirk MacIntosh and intriguing Duncan Burns savagely compete for her affections.
Several times Sonsie is warned to leave her ancestral home, which is haunted by centuries of mystery and by the legendary ghostly piper who plays his mournful bagpipes when there's an unnatural death in the family.
She staunchly ignores the rumor that the piper played when her grandfather died. And she refuses to be frightened off--even when an eerie bird of warning appears, and Sonsie is told that her own life is in danger!
