The ancient ledgers hidden away in the basement of the library had been under her watch for over 30 year, but now the old leather-bound books would become someone else's responsibility. Rosemary Campbell was about to retire as the chief librarian of the 160 year old Lancaster County Library. She only hoped that her replacement was someone young, strong-welled and emotionally stable. But more than anything, she prayed that they were capable of dealing with the curse.
