Description
The Shade Over the Room tells a story of a young lady, twenty-eight, who is finally on her own with her first real job and a bicycle to take her there. She leaves her parents in another town, packs up and heads toward her dream. With a new job as an editor, very first place to call home and Red Irish Setter, Lucy, she finds herself in the presence of Nathaniel Graham, the owner of the estate she is staying on. The estate she has moved onto offers a little cottage, a maze garden leading into a mystical forest, and an array of Pink Tulips off the side terrace, that he will later give to her as an expression of his love for her. After spending some nights at his cottage, only speaking to someone on the phone who left her the keys to the place, she finally sees him at his mansion, just a little walk up the cobblestone road. Nervous to begin the walk up to the mansion, she bravely takes the first steps to her future. After ringing the doorbell where she hears laughing, someone answers. She enters and feels she is intruding on the big party but does not see the image of who she thinks she is looking for. When Mr. Hindenbum, the butler, sees her, he explains that Mr. Graham is occupied, he decides to lead her up their marble staircase and into the home of her forever love. Entering the room of his home office, the butler leaves her, and a few mins later, there he is. The man whose eyes are like blue gems. After their eyes meet, both of their lives change forever. This story takes you into the daydream of love, kindness and intimacy. A reality of a daydream.
