Description
The Adventures of Junior and Spike the Wonder Dog. Book Eleven: Quading, a children's book written and illustrated by Moshe. After getting out of bed and running to say good morning to Dad working in the garage, Spike plays tug-of-war with Junior's pants. The family has a quick breakfast, before getting on Dad's latest creation, a quad called Black Death with a 200-horse power motor. They hang a wheelie out of the driveway and head for the desert. A dog chases them before entering a wash where they see an owl, javelina and a horse, before getting onto a dirt road. They continue their journey by driving over some hills, before stopping to let Spike walkabout. Spike swims in a cattle pond, surrounded by Colorado River toads. On the other side of the cattle pond there is a huge black bull drinking water. Dad and Junior fish in the cattle pond. Before leaving, Junior catches a catfish. On the way home, they see a huge mule deer buck. That night Dad tells the story about a boy and his dog that like hiking in the desert.
