Eden Payne wants nothing to do with prom decorations, the popular girls, or the school's resident outcast, Harvey Burke. Too bad her upcoming semester is about to be consumed by the three.

After finding out she needs another extracurricular credit, Eden reluctantly joins the prom committee, alongside the cheerleaders and pageant queens. He makes the mission personal for her when he offers to throw in tickets to the sold out music festival Sounds of Summer, where Eden's favorite band has filled a slot left vacant by a cancellation.

Determined to save prom (not to mention her social life) and see her dream band live, Eden is more than willing to transform Harvey from school misfit to prom dream date. But between their shared love for lyrics and hilarious practice dinner dates, her desire shifts from concert tickets to turning her trainee into the perfect prom date...for herself.
