Peety and Poncho Visit the Desert is the first book written in the Peety and Poncho series. It tells about how these two characters meet in the Arizona Sonoran Desert. Their meeting comes about by chance as Poncho spots Peety about to land on a prickly cactus so he warns him they would stick to his feet. Convinced their meeting was meant to be, they quickly form a special bond and a life long friendship. They agree to visit the world together, entertaining, and educating children along the way.
