Marishka is no stranger to pain and tragedy, a victim of molestation as a child along with both of her sisters. She is determined to help her youngest sister Anna get past the pain and get off the streets. Anna turned to prostitution in order to escape what happened to her, but it was Marishka and Sophia who were determined to see she was in a dangerous place. Marishka, a cop, tries everything in her power to show her sister the mistakes she is making and in the process she is shot and paralyzed, but even that does not stop her. Against all odds, Marishka refuses to give up her badge and she fights to prove what she is capable of. The one thing she may not be able to do is to save her baby sister.
