The 'Tales of Shakespuss' re-tell elements of Shakespeare's plays to a very early age audience. Cute animal characters form the acting troupe to do so, these are based in general on the names of Shakespeare's actors at the time. All of the animals subsequently physically portray characteristics of the roles they are playing in the stories. These books are intended to engender a basic love for the stories within the Shakespeare plays, Shakespuss essentially representing the Children's Bard.
