Unlimited Series drivers qualify in pairs, and Charger is up against a driver who plays surprisingly rough. When the time trial is over, Charger discovers that the other driver is the same guy who ambushed him at the Fuel Center a few days earlier. Soaked in strange, potent chemicals, Charger's opponent is stronger and meaner than ever!

But the worst is yet to come. During a big race, the Team Fastex engines suddenly burst into flames! Every car on the track billows smoke-every car except those driven by Team Rexcor. When Spitfire discovers that something's wrong with the fuel, Team Fastex hurries to the Fuel Center to prevent nothing less than the destruction of Now Motor City! From out of nowhere, a villain who is not quite human attacks. Team Fastex defeated him before--can they do it again?
