Nicola was soon to be married to a man she loved, and no doubt her twin sister, Diana, would also settle down eventually. Nicky had no way of knowing that the smooth path of her life was heading towards ugly rocks. It began on an evening indistinguishable from many others, with an incident she could never remember, but that event threw a shadow of terror that heralded several months of uncertainty, during which her life took a completely different course.
