I was Warden at the Correctional Facility. Mr. Deperon was scheduled to die the next day by lethal injection. A problem had arisen at the last minute. The convict was claiming he had lost five years of life. The last thing he remembered was only the previous day. Two of my correctional officers were on both sides of the fence. One said he needed a break; the other said no. What was the evidence? Who would prevail?
