Nancy's Dude Ranch — Marguerite Nelson

Dark-Haired Nancy Lewis was returning from her studies at Mountain University to take over the only legacy -- an almost bankrupt dude ranch. The palatial neighboring dude ranch of attractive blond film star, Rock Jones, was attracting the movie crowd that had formerly flocked to the Heart Bar.

Nancy was hurt, too, by the change in Matt Barnes, who met her plane in Palm Springs. Now a high-priced society lawyer, some of the brittleness of his glittery clientele seemed to have rubbed off on the outdoor-loving and straightforward Matt she had known in high school.

Two pack trains -- one from the Heart Bar and the other from Rock's dude ranch -- had to meet in a blinding snowstorm in the high mountains before the true Matt Barnes was revealed.
