Eleven years ago, Dr. Jennie Warner had been the fifteen-year-old patient of brilliant young orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Richard Farraday. Inspired by him, Jennie had chosen a similar career path, which had now brought her to the Sri Lankan hospital where Richard Farraday was orthopedic consultant.
Jennie had applied for the position of junior registrar in good faith, believing Richard would be delighted to see his ex-patient making the most of the opportunities his surgical skills had given her. So why did Jennie get the feeling that he wasn't delighted to see her at all?
