Lovely Tracy Danford and her fellow teacher, Jerri Jones, had mapped out a delightful vacation at a cottage by beautiful Lake of the Wind. For Tracy, it would be a time of relaxation, but a time, too, to compose songs on her guitar, and decide about Aaron, who taught in the same school with her, and was deeply in love with her.

Instead, Tracy found herself in a new dilemma as both Kit Selby, a dashing and handsome local bachelor, and Lon Mitchell, a moody but brilliant musician, competed for her affections. Even more disturbing was a murderous prowler who terrorized the resort community and seemed to mark Tracy as his next victim.
