Clem Collins—don't call her Clementine—is ex-Army and just wants a little R&R while she and her friends work on her dream home: a cabin deep in the woods. But then one day her dog Lizzie the pit bull comes back from a romp in the woods and drops a strange, stinking object in Clem's lap. The big lump proceeds to wiggle and split and what looks like a tiny dinosaur spills out. Tracing Lizzie's steps back deep into the woods, Clem discovers a weird glowing dome. Lizzie rushes at the dome and, to Clem's amazement, disappears into it. Of course Clem follows her dog—wouldn't you? Inside the silvery dome Clem discovers a floating orb. How could Clem possibly know that the strange orb could very well be the beginning of the end of all life on Earth?
