Los Dorados Hotel in Manzanillo, Mexico, was previously a playground for the incredibly affluent and sinfully rich. As drug-related violence erupts near its golden shores, the tourist trade begins to diminish, with many associating the place as dangerous and unsavoury. Blaise Cory is determined to change this however, with her swimwear boutique being available in the hotel. She is certain she can persuade the remaining wealthy guests to buy her swimwear, but it seems that someone else has other ideas about how to make a profit in Manzanillo... As Blaise befriends a writer, Whitney, who is with his spoiled daughter Jessica, strange events start to unfold that don't match up. It seems that her only clues are a silver coin, an illegal weapon, and a peculiar drowning... As Whitney turns into a romantic interest, the two realise that they need to put their feelings aside in order to discover the dangerous secret of this seemingly exotic paradise, else they risk their lives in the process...

Her first novel,This Firey Promisewas published in 1978 and between that time and her death in 2012, she published several books, including Kings of the Seain 1972. She was faithful supporter of many charities and wrote several screenplays in addition to her novels.
