Laird of Imchay — Joan Marsh

On the death of her husband, Nurse Sylvia Rushworth had returned to Imchay Island, her birthplace. She met two men - Rory Maclean, the handsome Laird of Imchay, who opposed the erection of a huge chemical plant, and Angus Fraser, whose works had brought employment to the islanders. Sylvia understood the Laird's anger yet could not help admiring the strong-willed Angus, and when she discovered where her interests lay, the clash between the two men came to a head.
