Roy Lacy's venture into the New Mexico Territory turned into a nightmare of killings. But it was through a black man that he heard about a secret mine where old-time Spaniards had cached gold. The local Indians refused to go near the huge monolith called Rockfish Mesa, believing it was haunted. Roy and the black man dared the fates - and the guns of others - to locate the cache.
