No one has visited the lovely young patient in the Women's Surgical Ward at Dipstock Memorial Hospital, until one day a tall handsome stranger arrives with a magnificent floral offering. How long has little Laura Lane known him, and why did she look so startled at his arrival? The whole ward is amused by the discovery that Laura doesn't even know him, and that the flowers were intended not for her but for Leora Lane, the spoilt starlet in the private ward. Out of such a natural mistake spring other events to keep the ward alert and mystified, but for Laura those flowers spell disaster.
