Val Hartley runs research business for mostly college professors but she has been expanding into a bit of help for the local police. She also joins a writer’s group series of lectures about writing a book. With a name like hers, Valentina Hartley, she feels she should write a romance. Her move to Rockleigh brings her face to face with a corpse. This involvement gives her a taste for crime and also her new landlord, a local police detective widower. Will their liking develop further and deeper? Time will tell.
