Mosaic — Jan Ryan

Sally Chesterton owns a Victorian house on the outskirts of Chester. During a renovation project, she discovers a Roman mosaic under the cellar floor, which transports her to Britain in the time of the Romans. She acquires a slave and when the villa is destroyed, she brings him back through the mosaic to live in the twenty first century.
