Weir lambert, a young man fresh from college, had acquired the proprietorship of the Kent County Witness, a small country newspaper that had almost ceased to circulate. Weir was proprietor, editor, compositor and printer, and yet had plenty of time to worry. Nothing ever happened in Kentville; that, to an ambitious newspaper man, was a tragedy.
