The Trevelyan Trap — Heather Johnson

John Trevelyan and his new bride Lettis were intrigued by a strange wedding gift they had received. The large wooden contraption appeared to be a game, with a steel ball rolling gently through shallow gullies and mazes of steel bars.

But John's curiosity turns to fear as he activates the game. As the ball rolls through it, a high-pitched mechanical voice comes from deep within that breathes threats against the Trevelyan family.

As the game had promised, several tragedies soon strike the family. As the death toll climbs, there are whispers that John's dark past is catching up with him. His first wife had died mysteriously, and now each of John's grown children emerge as suspects in these latest deaths, ranging from political upstart Rebecca to evironmental activist Darcy.
