According to the poster, presumably produced by the Resistance, the Nazis were in retreat and ready to abandon Paris. However, our intelligence and experience suggested that that was not the full story. Victory was within our grasp, but we needed to win more battles before we could dance in triumph. Indeed, the biggest battles of all probably lay ahead.
