Rod's behaviour becomes increasingly alarming, and Alec struggles to handle the strain. His foe Alistair goes missing, and may have met foul play. Is there a killer, or wild beast, loose in the school grounds? What is Mr Grey's shocking revelation about the 'time tear' and what is its implications for Alec and Rod?
