Description
Sam Trencher is coming home. Six years ago, Rose 'Eddie' Alexander, the judge's son, framed him for drugs, and the police made him enlist. However, that didn't last. Since a night in the Round House, an off-limits Indian pueblo, where a younger Sam encountered the Midnight Sun, he's been cursed with The Glow: spontaneous human combustion. His touch is lethal, and to keep from bursting into flames himself, he has to maintain balance: same coins in each pocket and everything centered. Still, the heat ebbs and flows. He also has visions that Lori's life is in danger. When he learns she's engaged to Rose, now a drug dealer in bed with the police, Sam's temperature rises. He tries to warn her about him, but she's not listening. While Rose plots to get rid of Sam, again, Sam digs in to defeat the dirty cops, stop The Glow from spreading through town, and save Lori's life.
