Among the travellers on the stage from Stockton to El Paso were Robinson, a newspaperman who talked too much, and Hyde, who wore two guns and didn't talk much at all. Then there was Cullen, a salesman of ladies' underclothes. Most of them were concerned about the Comanche warrior, Black Dog, who was out on the warpath. But how had the Indian got so many new guns?
