STORM WARNINGS It was born in the Caribbean, fashioned of winds that swirled above the sea, gathering in strength and intensity. Men named her Hurricane Hedda. She picked up forward momentum as she reached into the temperate zone. She brushed by Cape Hatteras and took off as though it had been a springboard, moving north and eastward. Dunes Point lay directly in its path.
