When Esther Roden's father died and left her nothing more than a troublesome, crumbling ruin of a castle on the coast of Cornwall, she felt that some good would come out of it after all - a film company wanted to use the castle as a backdrop.

But a shadowy corpse haunted the towers by night, and strange accidents plagued the film project's every move. And then, as old legends became deadly realities, Esther discovered that the terror that stalked the castle of Polperro was now stalking her....
