Pat Bailey gave advice on life, love and loneliness to anyone with a problem who telephoned her radio station. In her private life, she was engaged to a young man who worked in a bank, and thought that they should check their compatibility by computer before they married.

Clearly, this was not a romance destined to console Pat for the loss of the man she had loved and who had been tragically killed. Her heart was free to indulge in flights of fancy about a man who had spoken to her over the air in a voice which resembled that of her lost love.
