Herakles and the Mares of Diomedes — Eric Feka

Hera, frustrated with Herakles's continued success, sends him beyond the borders of Hellas to Thrace. Herakles's eighth task is to retrieve the flesh-eating mares bred by the King of Thrace, the giant Diomedes. On the way, he meets King Admentis of Pherae who is mourning the death of his wife Alcetsis and challenges Thanatos, the angel of death.
