Former 407 roommate Shelly Hyde has come back to Canby Hall -- to invite Toby, Andy, and Jane to the opening night of a play in Boston. Shelley has a part in it, and it could be her big break.

But things don't turn out the way Shelley planned, and she ends up staying on at Canby Hall with a bad case of the blues. Then a foot injury threatens Andy's plans to be a ballerina, and Shelley has to lose her blues to help. Because no matter how far away from Canby Hall a roommate goes, the rules of friendship she learns there never change.
