Dr. Dunbar needed help in his general practice, and his daughter Lindy would have been pleased to welcome Dr. Lyall Balfour, if he hadn't thought she was a schoolgirl! At twenty-three and a fully qualified chartered physiotherapist, Lindy found that a bit galling. She was also puzzled, Lyall was clearly a highly qualified surgeon, so what was he doing taking a job in a country practice in the Borders?
