The Haunted Mansion — David Feist

Of all the adventures kids can have, nothing compares to the old abandoned mansion my sister and I discovered eighteen years ago. It was a terribly hot evening in the humid swamps behind our town. When distant thunder rumbled like a Civil War cannon, we should have just run for cover. It is a good thing we had flashlights. It is a good thing we did not flee in terror. From the looks of that lost mansion, how could we know anything good might happen that night... A MUST for every third grader in Louisiana!
