In this second book in the series, Madison is now settled into Minister Paul's house, and she always attends church, where she is a welcome figure. Reflecting on her good fortune, she thinks about how Minister Paul has spoken about helping the unfortunate. As she does so, Madison is confronted with a battle between her instincts and her sense of right and wrong, when she has the opportunity to help a fly escape from a spider's web. In ultimately doing the right thing and freeing the fly, Madison sets off a series of good deeds that have bigger, even better, unforeseen consequences. Her one small good deed cascades until it positively impacts a child in the neighborhood--much to the delight of Madison and her congregation!
