Harry is back on the attack with her familiar Havoc, the white mongoose. Her sort-of boyfriend is in trouble. He fought with his cousin, and that cousin is dead. She was killed by a broomstick knocked over her head. Elsbeth was a witch, but witches don’t ride broomsticks. It looked like she'd been sweeping up when someone came in and interrupted her. Going by the way the scene looked, there was an argument. The assailant took the broomstick and broke it over her head, striking her it killed her.Harry is left to prove that Osgood didn't commit this terrible crime.
