Description
Dr Delilah Mirembe did not know that her quiet employer, Dr Samson Mukasa, the owner of Kampala's huge and prestigious Buganda Hospital had feelings for her. The thirty-year old bachelor never expressed them. He ignored her like a wall for three years and showed no hint of jealousy when Charlie Kato, a poor cleaner at his hospital started taking her out. Finally he contributes most towards their wedding budget. However on the wedding day when Delilah's bridal car had just pulled up in the church yard, Dr Samson Mukasa calls the matron of honour and asks to speak to the bride. Delilah realises that he is calling from inside the church; He tells her to call off her wedding to Charlie and marry him instead. Delilah is dumbfounded. She watches the last pair of maids match into the church to the rhythm of Blessed Assurance. Soon it is her turn to walk down the aisle; the congregation is waiting and she knows she has to make a decision now.
