Josh did not expect much from his very first scout camp in the High Uintahs. He and his dog, a little Cocker Spaniel he called Buff, were in for a HUGE surprise. Josh was one of the youngest boys in the troop and was bullied by Clancy, the biggest scout. When his dog started to act like something had scared him, Josh told the other scouts that it must be a bear. Clancy made fun of him, which caused Josh to go off by himself. What happened next was a nightmare for both the scout and his dog. Josh and Buff were kidnapped by Big Foot, a huge, hairy creature that most people don't believe in. When they tried to escape, amazing things happened. Fear turned to friendship, and Josh found himself protecting the giant of the Uintahs.
