“What the hell are you doing, Zoe?” Asher couldn't keep the shock from his voice. She was there. Naked. In his tub.
“Get out!” Zoe's shrill voice shook with rage. “Get the hell out of my house right now, Asher!”
Her words lit a fuse inside him, forcing him to defend his actions. “Your house? Excuse me. My house.” Like she had a right to get indignant and make demands. Forgoing his manners as she'd done, he stepped back into the room to find she'd sunk to her chin in bubbles.
She shook her head vehemently. “This is my house. I purchased it from Bob Jenkins last week. Now get the hell out!” Fiery sparks blasted from her eyes.
He moved farther into the room until he towered over her. He jabbed his thumb against his chest. “I bought it from Jenkins. I have a bill of sale to prove it.”
