In the desolate Nevada desert lies the tiny town of Perfection-population: 14. Life moves slowly in this forgotten speck on the map, until handyman duo Val McKee and Earl Bassett decide they've had enough of the dead-end town and hit the road. But before they can escape, they discover a grisly series of deaths-and something strange lurking underground.

As mysterious tremors shake the earth and people start disappearing, Val and Earl uncover the terrifying truth: giant, carnivorous worm-like creatures are tunneling beneath the surface, hunting anything that moves.
