When Scotland Yard informs Dr. Paul Holton, psychiatrist and student of parapsychology, that the evil Dr. Blackton and his beautiful consort are finally dead, the celebration is short lived, for Dr. Holton's eternal archenemy is very much alive in another of his endless disguises, and in search of the biggest prize in occultism -- the famous Philosopher's Stone.

The lovely young Amanda Guise begs Dr. Holton to help her brother, who is under the adverse influence of a certain Baron Legnakrad, who Paul suspects is really Dr. Blackton. The innocent Amanda herself is necessary to the Baron's evil purpose, and now Paul must save Amanda from the Baron's perverted power…or else plunge them all into the realm of the terrible unknown!
