Christmas is right around the corner, and everyone is getting into the spirit. Anabelle Scott assumes her daughter Ainslee, son-in-law Doug, and their newborn Lindsay Belle will be spending Christmas with her -- that is until Ainslee's in-laws announce a surprise trip to Disney World. Without Ainslee home on Christmas, Anabelle can't help feeling the holiday won't be as special, and it will take an incredible miracle to get her in the spirit once again.

Meanwhile, Candace Crenshaw struggles with what to get her boyfriend Heath for their first Christmas together, and James Bell wonders how he'll keep peace in the family if he refuses to buy his son Gideon the violent video game all his friends play. As Elena Rodriguez works on her granddaughter's costume for the Christmas pageant, she welcomes the help of Isabel's mother Sarah with whom she's recently reconciled. But Sarah ends up revealing a surprising secret that leaves Elena more anxious than ever about her family.

At the hospital, Anabelle arrives to work to see the janitor packing away the Christmas tree. It turns out someone has complained about the display, sparking a heated debate around town, as the nurses work to preserve the traditions that make the season beautiful and joyous.
