When a 1988 Hailey High class ring is found in the stomach of an unidentified murdered victim, NYPD Detective Rosemary Cooper travels to the small town, located on the Saint Lawrence River, to investigate. She not only identifies the John Doe, but is propelled from 2008 into the town's sinister past.
