What's wrong with being a cheerleader?
Marcy's family is disgusted when she decides that more than anything, she wants to be a cheerleader. And the harder Marcy tries to make the squad, the less understanding her family is. Anybody can be a cheerleader. Can't they?
Marcy's mother and father say cheerleading is nonsense. Her sister thinks it's childish. Her brother laughs at her. No one realizes how hard being a cheerleader is, and how much Marcy wants to be one. Even if Marcy makes the squad, will she ever enjoy it?
