Lookin Fer the Ark of the Covenant — Branton K. Holmberg

We're goin to surprise ya this time, we're goin in search of the Ark of the Covenant. Its never been found and ya'd think with all the death and destruction legend says has happened to those who've searched fer it, it'd put the brakes on Sam but he's thinkin we have a shot at findin it and livin through the experience. First though Sam, me and Big Mike are goin back fer more of the Lost Dutchman's gold we left stashed in his mine. Before we even hit the trail the skin on the back of my neck wrinkles up like an old dried prune, the way it does when some one's watchin me. Sure enough we were bein watched and found it was Eddie McGrath doin the watchin. He's head of the Irish Mob in Boston and the guy that put up the money fer Luke Mephistopheles to defend Uncle Timothy and that slimy Angus O'Day in their murder trial. As ya might guess he's out to get our gold and take our lives when he gets it. We're headed fer Jerusalem to look fer the Ark when we get back to Santa Fe with the gold. This time there's a team of 5 of us goin. The new team members will be in more adventures with us and ya'll know why when we get to the end of this one.
